Spanlite has developed an entirely new way to back-light permanently installed glass or Decoran recycled glass walls without the need to get access behind to service the lamps.
SpanLite ‘cassette’ lighting system uses a 12mm thick PolyLite edge lighting panel set 25mm behind the feature wall, with light from LEDs shone into the top and bottom edges which produces an even panel of illumination suitable for back lighting.
The LEDs are built into exchangeable cassettes which are accessed via stainless steel plates above and below the feature wall.
Spanlite ‘cassette’ walls are installed in offices in London and Sydney and from March 2009 a permanent display can be found at the Building Design Centre using back lit Decoran recycled glass for the display.
